Letter beads for name and message bracelets
The Zart Alphabet Cube Beads 100g, supplier code BG202, are bright, translucent plastic square beads, each printed with a bold white capital letter for spelling out names and words.
The Creative School Supply Company lists each bead at 5mm x 5mm with a large 3mm hole for threading. The assortment includes seven colours: yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue and green, with approximately 110 beads. The 100 gram pack comes in a resealable ziplock bag that stores the beads between uses.
Students can make name and personalised message bracelets as they thread, which the supplier links to STEAM, art and English. For bracelets the supplier recommends memory wire, stretch beading cord or elastic; for necklaces it lists nylon coated wire, leather lacing, beading cord and stretch beading cord.
Have cord or elastic cut to length before handing out the beads to students. Find cord in beading supplies, more in craft jewellery supplies and educational craft supplies, or the Zart range.
