Connoisseur 52005 is the 255 mm A-La-Carte dinner plate with a traditional flat rim, packed six to a pack for hotel dining rooms, function centres and corporate catering.
The rim frames the meal and gives waiting staff a clean border to hold, which is why rimmed plates remain the standard for banquets and plated functions. At 255 mm it is the main course plate of the rimmed A-La-Carte pieces, with the 185 mm side plate as its partner for bread and entrees.
Weatherdon list it as reinforced porcelain, thermal shock resistant, microwaveable and dishwasher safe. Venues that prefer a modern rimless look can use the A-La-Carte coupes instead; this plate is for those who want the familiar banqueting shape.
