A concave glass mirror, 5cm across, sold on its own
Quality curved glass mirror, 50mm diameter.
A concave mirror curves inward and reflects light towards a single focal point. That is why it is the shape used in makeup mirrors, where the image comes out magnified, and in reflecting telescopes, car headlights, spotlights and torches, where the job is to gather light and throw it forward.
The supplier lists the focal length as 100mm. They print it with a minus sign, which is a sign convention rather than a physical property - it does not change how the mirror behaves. If the sign matters for your senior classes, ask us and we will get it confirmed.
Glass rather than polished plastic, because a curved plastic mirror distorts in ways that have nothing to do with the curve you are trying to teach.
Sold individually. Most lessons want a concave and a convex side by side so students can compare, so order one of each.
