Hands Free Lid Lifting on a 120 Litre Wheelie Bin
Compass 760120 is a grey 120 litre wheelie bin with a foot pedal, sold as a pack of 3 for kitchens, loading docks and back of house areas that need a large bin staff can open with their hands full.
Pressing the pedal at the base lifts the lid through a rod running up the back, so a kitchen hand carrying a tray of scraps does not need to put it down first. Weatherdon make the body in grey polypropylene (PP) and list a robust foot pedal among its features. Two wheels and a top handle let the full bin be tipped back and rolled out to the collection point.
The bins arrive nested inside each other, three to a pack, with the lids and fitting parts packed in the top bin. Some assembly is needed: Weatherdon's picture guide shows the lid, pedal linkage, axle and wheels going on in five steps, with the hinge parts already fitted at the factory. The guide is downloadable on this page.
Use it where a 60 litre bin fills too quickly but a full size council wheelie bin is too big to keep indoors.
