Fixed position wheel for the 722430 and 722472 trolleys
Compass 722472FW is a grey fixed wheel with no brake, and Weatherdon give it one fit list that covers two trolleys, the 722430 and the 722472.
Weatherdon call it a fixed wheel for Compass housekeeping trolleys. The close-up shows a grey tyred wheel held in a straight bracket under the trolley base, with no brake lever, which is what separates it from the 722472DW drive wheel.
Fixed wheels are the pair that do not pivot, so they give a long trolley something to track against when it is pushed down a straight corridor. When one of them flat spots or its bearing wears, the trolley starts to pull and judder. Replacing that single wheel is far cheaper than replacing the trolley, and the frame stays in service.
Weatherdon advise allowing 4 months from order if they are out of stock. One code suits both trolley models. Browse Cleaning Carts for the trolleys, Mop Buckets and Cleaning Carts for bags and parts, and Compass for the brand.
