The Organics Lid with a Covered Green Panel
Compass 7606014 is the green lid for the Compass 7606010 60 litre grey bin, and the only lid in the set that Weatherdon name a use for: they list it as suitable for organic waste.
Unlike the slot and round hole lids, it has a large green panel set into the front of the lid rather than an open hole, so food scraps, coffee grounds and tea bags sit out of view. Weatherdon do not describe how the panel opens, and there is no mention of a removable ring on this code.
A covered organics bin makes sense in kitchens and lunch rooms, where an open hole would leave scraps on show. Weatherdon list the lid at 45 x 33 x 10.5 cm and about 600 g.
Pair it with the red, yellow and blue lids on a row of 7606010 bins to add a food and garden stream alongside general waste, mixed recycling and paper, where your collector accepts organics.
