A small black melamine bin for guest rooms
Compass 7675601 is a 5 L round waste bin in low sheen black melamine, 200 mm across and 250 mm high, which Weatherdon list as fire resistant.
Melamine gives a hard, smooth surface with a soft matt look, so the bin sits well in a hotel bedroom, beside a desk in a serviced apartment or under a bathroom vanity. The slightly flared open top makes it easy to drop paper and tissues in, and at 5 L it is sized for a room bin rather than a kitchen bin.
Weatherdon describe the melamine as durable and the bin as fire resistant. They do not publish a test standard for it, so treat it as a material property rather than a rating. It matches the black melamine soap dishes and trays in the Compass guest room range.
