A Black Melamine Carry Tray with Handles at Each End
Compass 65075401 is a large black melamine tray with high sides and a cut-out handle at each end, sized at 480 x 310 mm for carrying a room service order, a coffee round or a plated meal.
Weatherdon list it as made from melamine, a hard plastic often used for trays and serveware in hospitality because it does not shatter like glass or ceramic when dropped. The sides stand 43 mm high, which keeps cups and glasses from sliding off the edge as the tray is carried along a corridor or up a flight of stairs.
The handles are moulded into the short ends rather than bolted on, so there are no fittings to work loose and the tray stacks neatly on a shelf. Its glossy black finish suits hotel in-room dining, meeting room catering and the servery at a club or cafe.
For a lighter coffee round or a single drink order, a smaller tray is easier to handle; this one is the size to reach for when a whole meal or several cups go out at once.
More serveware, catering and hospitality supplies and the Compass range.
