Precision Shading and Sketching with a Pencil Built for Serious Work
The Columbia Copperplate 6B is a premium hexagonal lead pencil with a rich graphite grade ideal for expressive drawing, tonal shading, and fine art work - sold as a box of 20.
Columbia's Copperplate range is the brand's flagship pencil line, trusted in Australian classrooms, studios, and offices for decades. The 6B grade delivers a soft, dark mark that blends smoothly, making it the go-to choice for artists and illustrators who need deep tonal contrast. The hexagonal barrel sits comfortably in the hand and resists rolling off desks, while the high-quality lead sharpens cleanly without crumbling.
Copperplate pencils are available across the broadest grade range in the Columbia family, and the 6B sits at the softer end - perfect for hatching, blending, and expressive freehand work. The instantly recognisable red barrel with dark brown cap makes these easy to identify in a shared workspace or art room.
A box of 20 offers excellent value for schools, studios, and procurement buyers who need reliable stock on hand. Columbia Copperplate pencils have been part of Australian stationery culture since 1919 - a heritage that speaks to consistency and quality.
