The CARDIACT Connect Rugged Module and Case is a ruggedised protective case and connected monitoring module system designed for AED deployment in outdoor, industrial, and remote locations where environmental protection and real-time AED readiness monitoring are required, providing IP-rated protection against dust, water, and physical impact alongside connectivity for remote AED status monitoring and alert notification.
Standard AED cabinets and wall brackets provide adequate protection in indoor commercial environments but are insufficient for outdoor public locations, industrial sites, mining operations, and remote recreation areas where the device is exposed to extreme temperatures, moisture, UV radiation, and physical impact. The rugged case provides IP-rated environmental protection to maintain AED readiness in demanding conditions. The connected module adds real-time remote monitoring capability - administrators receive alerts if the AED is removed, if pads or battery approach expiry, or if cabinet tamper events occur, reducing the risk of discovering a non-functional device during an emergency.
