A bubble tube is the anchor of a sensory room. It gives a child something to look at that moves slowly, predictably and without demanding anything - which is the whole point when someone needs to come down from being overwhelmed.
183cm is nearly ceiling height in a standard classroom. That scale matters: it fills the visual field from a seated position, so a child looking at it is not also seeing the rest of the room.
Three things the supplier does not publish, and all three matter before you install one.
1. Water. This is a water-filled bubble tube. The supplier's listing says nothing about what to fill it with, how often to change it, or whether anything is added to the water. Bubble tubes in general are filled with treated water and need periodic changes; ask us and we will get the manufacturer's instructions before you buy.
2. Mounting. A 183cm column of water is tall and heavy. The supplier does not publish mounting or anchoring guidance. In a room with children, ask us to confirm what the manufacturer requires before you stand one up.
3. Power and controls. No voltage, no wattage, and no mention of a remote in this listing - though the kit version (PLLE96K), which is the same tube plus a Remote Cube, describes five lighting modes, 16 static colours and adjustable brightness. We would expect this tube to be identical, but we have not had that confirmed.
Buying the tube and the Remote Cube separately costs the same as the kit - $1,000.00 plus $400.00 against $1,399.90. Ten cents in it. Buy whichever suits your paperwork.
