The High Yield Yellow Cartridge for Lower Cost Per Page
Brother TN258XLY is a genuine Brother yellow toner cartridge rated for up to 2,300 pages declared in accordance with ISO IEC 19798, the standard colour laser test that lets one cartridge be compared fairly against another.
Brother lists this cartridge for eight colour lasers: the MFC-L3755CDW, MFC-L3760CDW, MFC-L8390CDW, HL-L3240CDW, HL-L8240CDW, DCP-L3560CDW, HL-L3280CDW and the DCP-L3520CDW. If your machine is not on that list, this is not its cartridge; the model code inside the front cover is the safest check before ordering.
A declared yield is a laboratory figure produced under the ISO IEC 19798 colour test so cartridges can be compared like for like. Brother notes actual yield varies with coverage, so full colour pages drain a cartridge faster than documents with colour accents. If volumes are light, the TN258 standard versions at 1,000 pages cost less per cartridge. Owners of the MFC-L8390CDW or HL-L8240CDW can also step up again to the TN259 super high yield range.
The full genuine range is in Brother toner cartridges, replacement drums and other consumables sit in printing supplies, and every brand we stock is grouped under ink and toner.
