Brother TN258M is a genuine Brother magenta toner cartridge rated for up to 1,000 pages declared in accordance with ISO IEC 19798, the standard colour laser test that lets one cartridge be compared fairly against another.
Brother lists this cartridge for eight colour lasers: the MFC-L3755CDW, MFC-L3760CDW, MFC-L8390CDW, HL-L3240CDW, HL-L8240CDW, DCP-L3560CDW, HL-L3280CDW and the DCP-L3520CDW. If your machine is not on that list, this is not its cartridge; the model code inside the front cover is the safest check before ordering.
A declared yield is a laboratory figure produced under the ISO IEC 19798 colour test so cartridges can be compared like for like.
