Brother TN446C is a genuine Brother cyan toner cartridge rated for up to 6,500 pages declared in accordance with ISO IEC 19798, the standard colour laser test that lets one cartridge be compared fairly against another.
Brother lists this cartridge for two machines only: the MFC-L8900CDW and the HL-L8360CDW. It does not fit the HL-L8260CDW or the MFC-L8690CDW; Brother lists those two against the TN441 and TN443 tiers only. If your machine is not one of these two, check the model code inside the front cover before ordering.
A declared yield is a laboratory figure produced under the ISO IEC 19798 colour test so cartridges can be compared like for like. Brother notes actual yield varies with coverage, so full colour pages drain a cartridge faster than documents with colour accents. The same two machines also take the TN441 and TN443 tiers when volumes are lower; this super high yield version keeps the busiest machines out of the consumables cupboard longest.
