The Standard Yield Black Cartridge for Brother Colour Lasers
Brother TN253BK is a genuine Brother black toner cartridge rated for up to 2,500 pages declared in accordance with ISO IEC 19798, the standard colour laser test that lets one cartridge be compared fairly against another.
Brother lists this cartridge for six colour lasers: the MFC-L3770CDW, MFC-L3750CDW, MFC-L3745CDW, DCP-L3510CDW, HL-L3270CDW and the HL-L3230CDW. Those models have since left Brother's current lineup, so this cartridge now serves the large base of machines already in offices rather than printers on the shelf today. If your machine is not on the list, check the model code inside the front cover before ordering.
A declared yield is a laboratory figure produced under the ISO IEC 19798 colour test so cartridges can be compared like for like. Brother notes actual yield varies with coverage, so full colour pages drain a cartridge faster than documents with colour accents. There is no high yield black in this set: at 2,500 pages the black already runs well past the 1,300 page standard colour cartridges, and the TN257 high yield versions cover the colours only.
The full genuine range is in Brother toner cartridges, replacement drums and other consumables sit in printing supplies, and every brand we stock is grouped under ink and toner.
