The Brother TD-4750TNWBC is a four inch desktop label printer with Brother's cutter fitted from the factory that runs both thermal transfer and direct thermal, printing up to 105.7mm wide at 300dpi and up to 152.4 mm per second.
Thermal transfer needs a ribbon and gives a harder, longer lasting mark; direct thermal needs none. Media runs 20mm to 112mm wide and up to 11,430mm long. The control panel is 6 buttons, a three-colour LED and a 58mm colour LCD. Emulation is FBPL-EZD, covering EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL, and Brother supplies BarTender Ultra Lite.
The cutter is fitted in the factory rather than added later, so the printer arrives ready to cut. One trade to know: Brother lists the tear bar as not applicable on the cutter variant, and the release mode becomes cutter rather than continuous and tear off. Fitted depth is 339mm and weight 3.37 kg.
