The Brother TD-4420DNP is a four inch direct thermal desktop label printer with Brother's label peeler fitted from the factory, printing up to 104.1mm wide at 203dpi and up to 203.2 mm per second.
Media runs from 19mm to 118mm wide and up to 3,000mm long, on rolls to 127mm diameter. The control panel is 3 buttons and 3 indicator LEDs, with no LCD. Emulation covers P-touch Template, ESC/P, Raster, ZPL II, EPL, DPL and CPCL, so it can usually take label data from a system written for another brand. Brother supplies BarTender Lite for label design.
The peeler is fitted in the factory rather than added later, so labels present backing-free from the first run. One trade to know: Brother lists the tear bar as not applicable on the peeler variant, and the release mode becomes peeler rather than continuous and tear off. Fitted depth is 259mm, weight 2.20 kg.
