The Brother PA-TDU-003 is the genuine touch panel display for the PT-P950NW networked industrial labeller, letting operators recall and print stored label templates at the machine with no computer connected.
The PT-P950NW is designed to sit on a network and take jobs from a PC, which is ideal in an office and awkward on a factory floor. Every label means a trip to a workstation, and the people doing the labelling are rarely the people with the labelling software installed.
The touch panel changes that. Templates are stored on the printer and recalled at the display. An operator picks the template, enters or scans the variable data, and prints. Cable identification, panel and switchboard marking, asset tags and safety labelling can all be produced at the point of work by someone who has never opened P-touch Editor.
