Genuine Brother Yellow Ink for the LC131 Range
Brother LC131Y is a genuine Brother yellow ink cartridge rated at up to 300 pages in accordance with ISO IEC 24711, the standard inkjet yield test that lets one cartridge be compared fairly against another.
The machines this cartridge was made for have left Brother's current range, and Brother no longer publishes a compatible printer list for them. Rather than repeat a list we cannot verify, here is the check that does work: read the code printed on the cartridge you are taking out. If it reads LC131Y, this is its replacement. Codes in this range look alike and are not interchangeable, so it is worth thirty seconds with the old cartridge in your hand.
Brother built this generation in four capacities, 300 pages, 600 pages, 1,200 pages and 2,400 pages, and the code on the cartridge is what tells them apart. This one is the up to 300 page yellow. A declared yield is a laboratory figure, and Brother notes it varies with coverage, so heavy colour work uses more ink than pages carrying a logo and black text.
The full genuine range is in Brother ink cartridges, the wider printing range sits in printing supplies, and every brand we stock is grouped under ink and toner.
