The Brother HSe-231E is a 11.2mm flat width 3:1 heat shrink tube cassette that fits cable and conductor diameters from 2.1mm to 7.0mm, printed black on white.
The number that matters is the cable diameter, not the flat width of the tube. A 11.2mm cassette looks far wider than the 2.1mm to 7.0mm conductor it suits, because the tube is supplied flattened and closes to a third of its diameter under heat. Ordering on the flat width alone is the most common mistake on this product, which is why we publish the cable range rather than leaving you to work it out at the bench.
Once printed and heated the tube grips the conductor without adhesive, so nothing lifts or unpeels in a warm switchboard, an engine bay or a rooftop DC run. Each cassette holds 1.5m of tube and is rated to UL 224 at 600V and 125 degrees Celsius, which is what makes it acceptable for permanent electrical identification rather than temporary marking.
This cassette fits the Brother PT-P750W, the PT-E560BTVP and the PT-E310BTVP, along with the PT-P700, PT-P900W and PT-P950NW. It will not fit the PT-D210, PT-P300BT, PT-D460BT, PT-D610BT, PT-P710BT, PT-P910BT or PT-E920BT, none of which accept heat shrink tube at all.
