Fine Red Stick Pen For Proofing And Corrections
Staedtler 430FA-2 is the stick 430 capped ballpoint with a fine 0.7mm tip and red ink, supplied here as a box of 10 pens.
A fine red line fits between printed lines, so it suits proofreading, ticking off checklists and writing small comments in a margin without covering the text underneath. Staedtler's 2024 Australian catalogue lists a metal tip, a cap with a clip and a smooth flow, low viscosity ink that they say gives an improved writing experience. The pen pictured has a yellow barrel printed stick 430 F and a red cap.
Staedtler also describe the 430 as airplane safe: automatic pressure equalisation is there to stop it leaking on board aircraft, which is worth knowing for anyone who carries pens in cabin baggage. The same fine tip comes in blue and black, and a medium red with a 1.0mm tip is listed as 430MA-2.
