Foam cartridge for practising B.I.G intraosseous device deployment in training

The B.I.G (Bone Injection Gun) Foam Cartridge is a training consumable designed for use with the B.I.G intraosseous access device, providing a foam medium that simulates tibial bone resistance for repeated intraosseous insertion practice without using real patients or cadaveric specimens.

Developing proficiency with intraosseous access devices requires repeated physical practice of the insertion technique. The BIG foam cartridge provides a tactile training medium that approximates the resistance feedback of the tibial cortex during needle insertion, allowing trainees to practice the correct insertion angle, pressure, and depth assessment before using the device on real patients in an emergency. Repeated practice on training cartridges builds the muscle memory and confidence needed for reliable IO access under pressure.

The foam cartridge is a consumable that is replaced after each training session or when the foam no longer provides representative resistance. It is the correct training accessory for organisations using the B.I.G device in their IO access training programmes.

Suitable for IO access training programmes using the B.I.G device, pre-hospital emergency medicine skills training, paediatric and adult IO insertion technique practice, hospital resuscitation team simulation, and any programme requiring a training consumable for B.I.G intraosseous device practice.
