Avery's wording for the range is that it is made with an extra layer of plastic film for increased strength and durability, for tough environments. The contrast they draw is against paper: a standard paper label is not tear proof and not water, heat, dirt or oil resistant.
What Avery actually publishes. Avery publishes resistance to water, tearing, UV, heat and oil and dirt for this code and a temperature range of -20 to +80 degrees Celsius. They also make a weather claim for it, and it is worth being exact about how far it goes: their word is resistant, and they never use a stronger one.
What Avery does not publish for this code. No claim about chemicals, solvents, abrasion, outdoor use and moisture. They also publish no adhesive peel figure, no thickness and no list of the surfaces the adhesive is rated for. None of that is stated here.
A correction. Our own listing for this code claimed chemical resistance and outdoor use. Avery makes no such claim for it - most of that wording traces to Avery's heavy duty category page, which is written for the whole family rather than for this product. It has been removed.
