A roll of 500 removable Friday day labels at 40 x 40mm square, green and white with a white panel to write on. Paper, removable adhesive, rated minus 5 to 60 degrees Celsius.
The label is printed Friday and leaves a white panel for the date. Avery's own instruction is to write the date on that panel so it gives an immediate visual of when the item must be discarded, and anything still in storage past that date should go.
These go on the outside of a container, not on the food. Avery states plainly that their food safety labels are not intended for direct food contact, which keeps the adhesive and ink away from what you are serving.
Green is the colour Avery assigns to Friday, and the scheme runs Monday blue, Tuesday yellow, Wednesday red, Thursday brown, Friday green, Saturday orange and Sunday black. It is the same in both the 40 x 40mm and 24mm formats, so a kitchen running both sizes stays consistent. Avery rates the label from -5 to 60 degrees Celsius and positions it for commercial refrigeration and food storage. That range does not reach freezer temperature, and Avery makes no freezer claim for it, so we are not making one either.
The adhesive is removable, so containers can be washed and reused. Avery suggests taking the label off before a container goes through a dishwasher.
