Avery Assorted Colour Spiral Spring Action File Black Print Foolscap 5 Pack

Assorted Colour Spiral Spring Action File Black Print Foolscap 5 Pack

5 assorted colour foolscap spiral spring action files, 241 x 355mm, paper board, with the fastener already fitted.

Avery fits these with a spiral spring coil fastener and pressure plate. The coil clamps the stack under the plate and holds it so the papers do not fall out.

Avery describes loading as adding and removing pages from the top of the file. They print that sentence on some codes in this range and not others, but it is the same fastener on all of them, so it is worth knowing before you choose between this and a transfer file.

The cover carries a pre-printed panel in black for writing the contents on. It is a panel on the front, not ruling inside the file.

A caution on the board weight for this pack. Avery specifies it as 270gsm, but their own description says the pack contains a buff file, and every other buff code in this range is 326gsm. The two cannot both be right and Avery does not resolve it, so no single weight is published here.

Avery states the pack contains five files in buff, red, blue, green and yellow. They do not publish how many of each, so we are not going to claim one of each.

Avery publishes no capacity for these files, neither a sheet count nor a thickness, so we are not going to state one. This is not the tubeclip fastener. Avery publishes a paper capacity and an add-anywhere claim for the tubeclip fastener itself; neither is published anywhere in the spring range, so neither appears here.

Avery lists which colours exist and assigns no meaning to any of them, so any colour convention you run is yours rather than a scheme Avery has defined. Spring transfer files in the same board are Avery codes 86804, 86814, 86824 and 86834.

Avery code 88550. It sits in our spring file range, inside the wider filing and storage category, alongside everything else we carry from Avery and the rest of the catalogue.
