A Heavy Board File That Holds Its Stack
25 buff foolscap spiral spring action files, 241 x 355mm, 326gsm paper board, plain cover, with the spiral spring fastener already fitted. Avery code 84504.
Avery fits a spiral spring coil fastener and pressure plate, which clamps the stack so the papers do not fall out, and describes pages going in and out at the top of the file. The spiral spring and clamp are adhered to the folder already and expand as the file fills. This is the plain code, with no printed panel, so the cover is written on directly.
The board weights run against expectation here. This buff file is 326gsm, while the blue file in the same range, code 85204, is 270gsm. The plain looking buff is the heavier board of the two, which is worth knowing before colour is used to signal importance.
Avery publishes no sheet count and no thickness for any file in this range. It sits in our spring file range, inside filing and storage, alongside Avery and the wider catalogue.
