The cover is printed with panels to write on. That is what makes this a notes file rather than a plain lateral file - Avery prints panels on the cover so notes and file information go straight onto the file, and the right record is found without opening it.
The side tab is reinforced. Avery's published purpose for it is colour code labelling, which is the tab you read when the file is standing on a shelf.
An open top wallet for loose paper. Avery's own description is an open top wallet for loose document storage, and they name no fastener.
A correction. Our own listing for this code claimed that it is the most accessible in the range and that a closed top version is available. Avery publishes none of it, so it has been removed.
Avery publishes no sheet count beyond the expansion figure and no load rating. Where they are silent, so are we.
