Buff Shelf Lateral File
Buff A4 shelf lateral file, 242 x 332mm, on 300gsm extra heavy weight board with a reinforced side tab, expanding to 35mm, supplied 100 to a box as Avery code 46704.
These file side-on in an existing shelf unit, cabinet or mobile shelving unit rather than flat in a drawer. The reinforced side tab is where colour code and file title labels go, and it is the part you read when the file is standing on the shelf. No fastener is fitted. Avery names a Tubeclip or Permclip file fastener as an optional addition, bought separately.
Avery publishes a board weight on this code, and it is 300gsm. A4 here is shorter than foolscap, not narrower: Avery gives 242 x 367mm for foolscap and 242 x 332mm for this one, so only the second figure changes. No sheet count and no load rating are published.
It sits in our filing and storage range, next to the white version of the same file and the foolscap size, and alongside everything else we carry from Avery across the wider catalogue.
