Forward Slash Side Tab Colour Coding Labels, 180 Per Pack
A pack of 180 white forward slash side tab colour coding labels at 25 x 38mm, on polyester with a permanent adhesive, supplied as sheets. The slash is a symbol code in Avery's colour coding range, made to the same size and specification as the letter, number, month and year codes.
Applied to the side tab of a lateral file, the character reads from the drawer face with the file still in place. Because the slash is built to the same 25 x 38mm format as the rest of the range, it goes into an existing colour coded system without changing tab layout or spacing.
Avery lists the slash alongside its alphabetical letters, numbers, year codes and months, and does not publish a prescribed use for it. In practice the code is bought by records rooms that already know what the symbol means in their own filing convention, so the useful thing to say is what it is rather than what it is for: a white tab carrying a single printed character, in the same size, facestock and adhesive as every other code in the range.
The slash is white. Avery also prints the letter Y on white under code 43325, so in a set using both, the printed character is what separates them. The forward slash is not made as a roll of 500 or as a 25 x 42mm pack, so this 180 pack and the top tab pack of 150 under Avery code 44428 are the two formats it comes in. It sits in our Avery side tab filing label range, alongside the wider Avery lateral filing label selection, our lateral filing label category and the full label supplies range.
