Alphabetical 'Z' Side Tab Colour Coding Labels, 180 Per Pack
A pack of 180 grey alphabetical 'Z' side tab colour coding labels at 25 x 38mm, on polyester with a permanent adhesive, supplied as sheets. Z is one of the 27 letter codes Avery makes for name based lateral filing, A to Z plus Mc.
Applied to the side tab of a lateral file, the character reads from the drawer face with the file still in place. In a name based system every file under Z carries the same grey tab, so a whole run can be scanned, pulled or refiled without opening a folder, and a misfile shows as a break in the colour block.
Surname distribution is uneven, so a records room works through the common letters long before the rare ones. The pack of 180 suits topping up a letter that runs down faster than the rest, or a smaller system where a roll of 500 would sit part used for years. It is the same label as the roll, supplied on sheets rather than in a dispenser box.
