ACCO Brands Australia, the local distributor for Artline, specifies the 579 with a chisel nib that draws a line from 2mm to 5mm wide, a plastic barrel and an alcohol-based pigment ink. ACCO describes the ink as dry safe, stating that an uncapped 579 will not dry out for up to 48 hours, and it lists the marker for electronic and traditional whiteboards.
