True HEPA stands for True High Efficiency Particulate Air. Fellowes' stated capture rate is 99.97% of airborne particulates, at sizes as small as 0.3 microns. In the standard set it sits with the thin carbon filter and pre-filter, which are changed more often, while the HEPA filter stays in for longer. Fellowes name it HEPA Filter with Antimicrobial Treatment, but do not publish the treatment agent or a test standard for this code.
