Where a room holds a whole class or an open plan team, the AM 4S PC is the AeraMax Pro to look at: the widest unit in the range, on a floor stand, rated for up to 110 square metres.
Fellowes put its coverage at 65 to 110 square metres, with 3 to 5 air changes per hour, roughly double the AM 3S PC. It is a wide, low cabinet on a stand with a handle across the top, so it can be placed along a wall or under a window and moved later without any building work.
Like the rest of the PC range it carries the PureView screen with a particle counter, showing live air quality and the share of particles captured, and EnviroSmart sensors that read occupancy and air quality to decide how hard to run. Fellowes say this saves energy and filter life in a quiet room.
Its filter set has four stages: a pre-filter, an activated carbon filter that Fellowes say reduces odours and VOCs, then the H13 True HEPA filter, which carries an antimicrobial treatment against bacteria growth on the filter. PlasmaTrue ionising technology is also listed. Fellowes AU give a 5 year limited warranty.
