Privacy Policy

Personal information means information that identifies you, or could reasonably be linked to you or another person. Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, billing and delivery address, phone number and email address.
• Your child's details: your child's name, school and year level, entered by you at checkout so we can pack, label and deliver the right book pack.
• Payment information: card details and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed by Shopify and our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
• Account information: login details, preferences and settings if you create an account.
• Order information: items viewed, added to cart, bought, returned or cancelled, and your order history.
• Communications: anything you send us, such as a support email.
• Device and usage information: browser, device, IP address and how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar technology.

Our book packs are bought by parents and guardians for their children. Children should not place orders or create accounts on this site.

When you enter your child's name, school and year level at checkout, we use it only to pack, label and deliver the order. If your school has chosen delivery to the school, the pack is labelled with your child's name and delivered to the school for handing out.

We do not use children's information for marketing, and we do not sell it.

If you want your child's information corrected or deleted, email schools@megaofficesupplies.com.au. We may need to keep order records where the law requires it.

• From you, when you place an order, create an account or contact us.
• Automatically, from your device through cookies and similar technology when you use the site.
• From our service providers, such as payment, delivery and IT providers working on our behalf.
• From your school, where a school sends us its booklist or arranges bulk delivery. A booklist does not usually contain personal information about students.

• To supply your order: process payment, pack, label and deliver, handle returns, and manage your account.
• To contact you: order and delivery updates, and replies to your questions.
• Marketing: if you opt in, we may send back-to-school reminders and offers by email or SMS. You can unsubscribe at any time. Order and delivery emails are still sent if you unsubscribe.
• Security and fraud prevention: to protect payments, accounts and the site.
• Legal reasons: to meet our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

• Shopify and the service providers who help us run the store, including payment processing, delivery, IT, analytics and customer support.
• Couriers and our own delivery drivers, so your order arrives.
• Your child's school, only where the school has arranged delivery to the school, so the right pack reaches the right child.
• Advertising partners, based on browsing and purchase activity on the site. You can opt out of personalised advertising using the cookie and privacy settings on this site.
• Our related businesses within Mega Thing Pty Ltd.
• Where the law requires it, or in connection with a sale or restructure of the business.

The site is hosted by Shopify, which processes personal information to provide and improve the store. Information you submit may be stored outside Australia. To learn how Shopify uses personal information, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.

The site may link to other websites, such as your school's website. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Check their policies before giving them your information.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but no system is completely secure. Please don't send card details or other sensitive information by email.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it to supply your order, run your account, meet legal and tax obligations, or resolve disputes.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you or your child. Email schools@megaofficesupplies.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity first, and some records must be kept by law.

You can unsubscribe from marketing using the link in any marketing email.

If you have a complaint about how we handle personal information, email schools@megaofficesupplies.com.au and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
