Worth separating two things that often get bought together. A large board gives a group somewhere to work at a size everyone can read from the back. Acoustic panels make what is said in that room intelligible, by absorbing reflections off hard surfaces, and they do nothing about noise coming through the wall. A glass surface reflects both light and sound, so plan for it. See glassboards, acoustic panels and whiteboards.
