Two practical checks before a presentation rather than during it. Range has to cover the distance from where the presenter actually stands to the machine, which in a long room is further than the box suggests. And most units need a USB receiver, so confirm there is a free port on the laptop or the dock. Laser and digital highlighting are separate features.
