Plastic Rulers
Buying for thirty students changes the calculation entirely, and the failure mode is a rule snapped in half rather than one worn out. Shatter-resistant grades cost a little more and last the year; brittle economy stock does not. Clear rules let students see the line underneath, which matters for geometry. Check the zero starts at the very end or offset it consistently. See metal rulers, wooden rulers and geometry sets.
