Computer Mouses
Optical sensors read texture, so a glass or high-gloss desk defeats them and the pointer stutters no matter what you paid. A mat solves it, or a sensor rated for hard surfaces. Beyond that it is connection and size: wireless frees the port and needs batteries, wired never drops out, and a mouse too small for the hand causes a claw grip nobody chose.
