Reception desks use it on the morning post, stores teams on delivery dockets, and practice managers on referrals and signed forms handed in at the counter. Whoever opens the item writes their initials on the BY: line.

The maker is Shiny, whose logo is on the black housing, and Staedtler supply the range through their Australian business. Print is two colour according to Staedtler's catalogue: RECEIVED and the signature line in blue, the date in red. The 4mm date is rolled forward by hand each morning.

Refills use Shiny supreme ink. Staedtler's catalogue names replacement pads for the S-400, S-401, S-407 and S-410 models but not for the S-402, so match the old pad before buying a spare.

Browse message stamps, other date stamps and stamp pads.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0863/5419/8784/files/Staedtler_Shiny_Self_Inking_Date_Stamp_RECEIVED_9S402_1_Mega_Office_Supplies.jpg?v=1791399634
https://megaschoolsupplies.com.au/products/staedtler-9s402-shiny-self-inking-date-stamp-with-message-received
