Staedtler call the 8880 highly pigmented with brilliant colours, and suggest it for fine art and craft work on watercolour paper or board. Brushes clean up easily with water, they add.

The box of 12 gives a working palette of primaries, earths and black with white for tinting, enough for mixing most colours. Staedtler make the 8880 in 24 colours, so the 8880 C24 box is the next step when you want more ready-mixed shades.

You will need a palette, brushes and proper watercolour paper.
