Staedtler set the blade at a 23 degree sharpening angle, which they say gives clear and accurate lines, and mount it in a metal insert rather than the plastic housing found on cheaper tubs.

Shavings drop into a clear lower tub with a hinged cover, so nothing spills onto desks or into bags. Staedtler add a safety lock to the lid to stop it opening by accident; the top of the lid is marked graphite and a PRESS tab on the side opens it for emptying.

Ten in a box makes sense for a classroom set, a stationery cupboard or a staff room drawer, where one sharpener per desk or per group saves queues at a shared wall sharpener.

You can also shop pencil sharpeners, Staedtler graphite pencils, classroom supplies and Staedtler.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0863/5419/8784/files/Staedtler_511_Tub_Sharpener_Metal_Insert_Box_10_511-001_1_Mega_Office_Supplies.jpg?v=1791399577
https://megaschoolsupplies.com.au/products/staedtler-511-001-single-hole-tub-sharpener-with-metal-sharpener-insert-for-standard-sized-graphite-pencils
