The three flat sides give small fingers somewhere to rest, and the wide barrel is easier to hold than a standard pencil.

2B is the darker of the two grades in this range. It leaves a bold grey line with light pressure, which suits drawing, shading and colouring-in outlines as much as early letters. For neater, lighter handwriting practice the HB version (119N-HB) is the usual pick.

A jumbo pencil needs a jumbo sharpener hole: Staedtler recommend the 512 188 tub or the 510 20 double hole metal sharpener. Classrooms that go through a lot can buy the same 2B pencil in a cup of 72.

Find more in jumbo pencils, lead pencils, sharpeners and student stationery.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0863/5419/8784/files/Staedtler_Noris_Natural_Jumbo_Pencil_2B_Box_12_119N-2B_1_Mega_Office_Supplies.jpg?v=1791399853
https://megaschoolsupplies.com.au/products/staedtler-119n-2b-natural-jumbo-triangular-pencil-2b-box-12
