Layered over the black ebonite body it gives a deep, high-gloss finish that improves with handling rather than wearing. The nib is Pilot's large size 15 in 18K gold with a two-tone finish and fine point, tuned for a controlled line that suits small handwriting, forms and detailed notes.

It fills with the Pilot CON-70N push-button converter supplied in the box, which takes bottled ink, or with a Pilot IC-50 cartridge for convenience when travelling. The gold nib gives a gentle softness under pressure, and the screw cap keeps the nib sealed between sessions.

A pen for collectors and for anyone who wants a lifelong writing instrument.
