In 24mm dotted thirds, solid lines sit 24mm apart and two dotted guides divide each space into three bands, so a small hand can see where the body of an a or an o belongs and how high a tall letter should climb. Hamelin Brands, owners of the Olympic brand, pitch D244 at early handwriting practice.

Of the Olympic A4 dotted thirds books we carry, this is the one with the largest spacing, and schools usually step down to 18mm, then 14mm and 9mm as writing gets smaller. The green cover prints the D244 reference plus a label area for name, subject, year and school, and 48 pages is a manageable length for a beginner.

Browse more educational writing books and A4 exercise books, cover them with book coverings, and pick up lead pencils for the first day.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0863/5419/8784/files/Olympic_Exercise_Book_A4_24mm_Dotted_Thirds_Cover_197719_1_Mega_Office_Supplies.png?v=1791400367
https://megaschoolsupplies.com.au/products/olympic-exercise-book-a4-48-pages-24mm-dotted-thirds-ruled-pack-of-20
