ACCO Australia describes the caps as fitting around the whole head of the key and suits them to anyone with a collection of similar looking keys. The cap carries no writing, so the colour itself is the identifier.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCaps suit keys that live on a personal ring rather than a board, such as the front door and back door keys that share a blank. Fit a different colour to each and the right key comes out of the pocket first time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCaps and tags work together: a cap marks the key, and a tag names it.
