The waste goes into an 83 litre pull-out bin inside a tall cabinet on castors. The 14 sheet manual slot is there for CDs, credit cards and urgent single pages.

SmartLock engages with each cycle and locks the paper drawer behind a 4 digit PIN until the job is done, which matters when invoices or contracts are left to run. AccuFeed means folded, crumpled, stapled and paper clipped sheets need no sorting. A touch screen, SilentShred, Auto Reverse and two minute Sleep Mode round it out, with a 2 year machine and 20 year cutter warranty from Fellowes.

Download the AutoMax manual on this page for setup and oiling.
