Educational Colours lists jewellery, ornaments and figurines as typical projects. Drying time varies with thickness and climatic conditions, as the brand notes. A wet brush or wet hands while shaping helps smooth the surface, and the dry piece can be painted and varnished.

Makers can shape a piece, leave it to dry and come back to paint it in a later session. Wet hands while working help give the smooth texture the brand describes. Keeping the opened pack sealed airtight, as Educational Colours advises, stops the clay from drying out.

Seal the package airtight after every session to keep leftover clay soft and easy to shape.
