Seed refers to the small gold kraft pocket format rather than to any contents. The gum is Cumberland's moist seal, which most buyers know as lick and stick, and it needs water or a moistener to close. The face carries no print, so a stamp or a hand written label sits cleanly on it.

At 120 x 65mm the P5 is a step down from the P7 and sized for coins, single keys, screws, jewellery findings and small electronic components rather than for folded notes. The short side opening lets small hard items drop straight to the bottom. It carries no window and no secretive lining, so it is not the envelope for anything that must not be read from the outside.

The box of 1000 is a single selling unit.
