It must be kept moist while you work. The supplier suggests pieces of foam rubber soaked with water on the table, and moistening your fingers to work water back in if the clay starts to crack.

Joins need scoring, slip made from clay, water and a drop of PVA, then pressing and smoothing with a modelling tool. Drying takes approximately one week to ten days at room temperature, and the dry piece can be painted with Chromacryl or Vipond. The supplier says the clay bonds to itself with a little pressure.

Keep the lid secure between sessions, and store used clay in a separate airtight container.
